Audi TT Dyno Session making use of the hardware!

We had this Audi TT in today, this car has been long awaited due to issues the guy had with fitment and mechanics, but today was the day!

This Audi is supported with the Bosch Med17.1 ecu, which has old tprot and is only accessible with a handful of tools, in this case I opted for the CMD flashtec, this is able to flash the ECU via the OBD port to make the dyno session alot easier and seemless.

First pull was unsuccessful, due to the hybrid turbo charger putting the car into limp mode due to overboost, so I had to create a base tune with the fueling and turbo in mind, capping the wastegate limits to enable me to make a pull and understand the hardware a little better.. 1st pull on the base tune made an easy 288hp and 410nm, but also gave me all the datalogs and information to be able to carry on and tune the car to see what can be had!

It quickly became apparent that the stock cooler was going to become the weak link, the intake temps was approaching 50 degress in an ambient dyno cell temp of 6.6deg, so charge temps was going to be the limitation, So I set the boost up to come in at 1.5bar, and taper down to 1 bar to give the temps a fighting chance, where the boost dropped I replaced this with timing to create a decent power band as best as possible.

Happy with the final results, and will be seeing this one in again at a later date with the uprated cooler.
